IATH's 2010 Fall Speaker Series: Anastasia Dakouri-Hild

November 30, 2010

In the third and final installment of IATH's 2010 Fall Speaker Series, Anastasia Dakouri-Hild, a Visiting Assistant Professor in Aegean and Near Eastern Art and Archaeology in the UVA Art Department, will speak on her collaboration with the Greek Archaeological Service on work to completely republish finds and associated tombs of Late Bronze Age Thebes. The data will be systematized in a new database, which must then be integrated with extant (but in need of enrichment) GIS of Thebes (aka Digital Thebes).

"Building a Cemetary GIS in Thebes" will be held in the IATH Conference Room (Alderman 319) from 1-2pm on Monday, December 6.

All are welcome!
